Honoring our American Veteran's is not something we take lightly in Bastrop, Texas. We hope to again host the 2020 Veterans Weekend Cruise In, Vets Tribute Ceremony & Car Show on the weekend of Friday, Nov. 6th & Saturday, Nov. 7th pending the situation status of the COVID-19 virus. Keep checking this website for further updates.
The Veteran's Day "Heroes & Hot Rods" Car Show in downtown Bastrop continues to gain popularity. The 2020 will be the 15th year for the car show and Veterans tribute event! In the last 3 years we have averaged about 400 vehicles on the show field.
The Bastrop Area Cruisers car club is proud to facilitate the veterans weekend car show event. Along with the Saturday car show, there is Music by DJ Don Lane, and a Veterans Tribute ceremony honoring those who have served or are currently serving our country in the military and a "cruise in" on Friday night in down town Bastrop! The City of Bastrop, Visit Bastrop.com and many Bastrop area businesses strongly support this event and welcome all visitors to our historic downtown and surrounding areas.
Well over 75% of the proceeds from the Car Show go primarily to many local & central Texas Veterans support organizations, with remaining % going to local Bastrop & Elgin High School, Auto Tech Scholarships and other local charities such as food pantry, homeless shelter etc.
